P.O.W.E.R. Leadership Initiative
People Overcoming Walls, Elevating Reentry
By Us. For Us. Beyond the Bars.
About the Initiative
The P.O.W.E.R. Leadership Initiative is a 3-month leadership intensive designed by and for returning citizens. Grounded in lived experience and community care, this program provides the tools, confidence, and support needed for formerly incarcerated individuals to reclaim their purpose and lead change where it matters most.
This is more than a program—it’s a platform for transformation.
What We Focus On
-
Overcoming Barriers: We address both personal and systemic challenges that often impact reentry, from trauma and stigma to housing and employment.
-
Developing Leadership: Participants strengthen their voice, confidence, and leadership capacity through real-world training rooted in authenticity and lived experience.
-
Driving Community Change: Graduates are empowered to become advocates, mentors, and catalysts for positive change within their communities.
Why It Matters
Restoration is possible
The P.O.W.E.R. Leadership Initiative is more than an intervention—it’s a movement. When returning citizens are equipped and empowered, entire communities benefit. We believe:
-
Restoration is possible
-
Leadership lives on the inside
-
Dignity is non-negotiable
By investing in people post-incarceration, we strengthen families, reduce recidivism, and build safer, more just communities—together.
